Don't be deterred by some comments: this is a modern zoo where most of the animals have plenty of space (also to retreat when they want to rest). Nice variety, can be walked around in less than 2h.

Great zoo, but a lot of cages are on reconstruction. Be ready that the prices on food, drinks & all the others much more bigger than in the city. Nice place not only for children, for adults too!

Really lovely little zoo. Make sure you check out the show times when you arrive early as they are great. Bring a fan in the summer (and water)

A lot of animals to see, better come here for the whole day???? especially sweet and amazing are gorillas and 3 little seals in an aquarium

Thats what I call a properly maintained and child friendly zoo. An awesome place and an urban retreat in the middle of the Barcelona heat. Dont miss out on the dolphins! Enjoy!
