Heads of the Ancients által Travis S.

This is a pretty crazy sculpture. The ears are rather large and there are spikes coming out the person's checks and around the lip. I wonder what these would be made from. I also wonder if those lines are scars or tattoos. Possibly the entire thing is a mask. <i>No other prehispanic culture of Mexico offers this variety of representations of sculptures for the elderly. Three Zapotes, Veracruz, produced these heads that were found without their bodies, all of them being with an exceptional style because of the differences in their expression, like the features on the headdress of each one.
