Acropolis Central, Tikal, Guatemala által Arthur Chapman

A part of the Acropolis Central in the ancient Mayan city of Tikal, Tikal National Park, Petén, Guatemala. Photographed on 25 November 2016. The Acropolis Central housed the Tikal Royal families from about 250-550 AD, but parts date from between 350BC and 1AD. The Acropolis Central is also known as "Maler's Palace" after Teoberto Maler who first published a description of the complex in 1911.
