Fényképek a Gocta-vízesés

Catarata Gocta, Perú által zug55

The Catarata Gocta is a waterfall with two drops located near Chachapoyas in the Amazonian cloud forest. Its total height is 771 meters (2,530 ft) which makes It one of the world's tallest free-leaping waterfalls. While its existence has been known locally for decades it actually was never measured and recorded until 2006. The upper tier falls about 700 feet in a purely vertical fall, the lower drops about 1770 feet in a nearly vertical drop into a huge amphitheater which is in view here. Note the orange dot which is a person close to it--it gives you a sense of scale. Tourism did not begin until 2007. A steep and muddy trail leads from the small town of Cocachimba to the base of the falls which takes about 2.5 hours each way. A local cooperative provides tour guides and horses for those who do not want to hike.
A Peruban található, 771 méter magas Gocta-vízesés (spanyolul: Catarata Gocta, helyi nevén La Chorrera) a világ egyik legmagasabb vízesése. Olvasd tovább
